The Page Valley Road Race is being staged at the Hawksbill Recreation Park outside of Stanley, VA. We have put together a festival at the park in conjunction with race-day intended as a gesture of thanks to the locals and also to entertain spectators and racers. The festival is a "hands-on" family-friendly experience where you will experience craftsmanship in action--and purchase local wares if you wish. Listen to a bluegrass band while you watch various artisans demonstrate their skills. In the line-up we have a potter with wheel, a bee club representative with observation hive (don't worry the bees can not get out!), a horse trainer with horse, a basket weaver and a local water color artist. The Hawksbill Recreation Park also has a public swimming pool and short walking trail.
